-     After finishing University study in physics moved to Surinam

-     High school teacher in physics and math in Surinam, Curacao and St. Maarten

-     In 1989 switched to the marine industry, building the company Budget Marine, a chain of marine chandleries with 10 stores on different Caribbean islands

-     Active sailor in Laser, Melges 24 and Beneteau 36.7

-     Fanatic kite surfer

-     IJ since 2000

-     Have been on the Jury of 3 previous Optinam’s
